Dale C Weaver

Dale C. Weaver, 89, of Lincoln, NE passed away on Sept, 19, 2017. Dale was born May 3, 1928 in Sabetha, KS to Chester O. Weaver and Pearl Imogene (Geer) Weaver. Dale graduated from Diller High School, and then started with the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Co. / Lintel. He retired after 48 years of service. Served in the Army during the Korean War and was a lifelong Legionnaire. He was a member of the Frank Woods Pioneer Telephone Association and a charter member of Southwood Lutheran Church. Dale loved his family which included wife Lenore of 69 years, his four children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Had many hobbies i.e.: model airplanes, woodworking, golf and watching baseball including his grandchildren’s sports. He is survived by wife Lenore Arleen (Hasche) Weaver whom he married April 11, 1948. Daughters Marleen (Ron) Kontos, Marsha (Richard) Trask, Maxine Strasburg and son Mark (Judy) Weaver. Grandchildren: Shannon (Kevin) Morgan; Patrick (Alison) Kelley; Jason (Jessica) Trask; Jimmy Trask; Ronald (Marlana) Strasburg, Jr.; Derrick Strasburg; Gregory Strasburg; Lacie (Ryan) Weber; Aaron (Kristi) Weaver; Jennifer (Derek) Engelbart; Austin (Elyse) Weaver. Great Grandchildren: Jacob & Christopher Morgan; Quinn & Hudson Kelley; Evan, Reed & Grant Strasburg; Ann Weber; Adrian, Kayla, Alaina & Kaira Weaver; Dayton & Jayda Engelbart; Peytin, William & Charlie Weaver. Proceeded in death by parents, son-in-law Ronald D. Strasburg, Sr. Visitation 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with family present on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 (Lincoln Memorial). Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE.
