Cleo M. Burns, 96, of Lincoln, passed away comfortably at her home surrounded by her family on March 26, 2016. She was born in Tingley, Iowa, to Jerry and Madge England. On May 7, 1944, following her employment at an armament plant during World War II, she married Dwight H. Burns. Dwight predeceased her in 2012, after nearly 68 years of marriage. Cleo and Dwight enjoyed the adventure of life, living in Iowa, Colorado, Nebraska, California, Arkansas, and finally in Lincoln for their last 37 years. They made lasting friends wherever they went, and always carried with them their faith in God. She is now dancing in heaven with her husband. Cleo is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Janet and Virgil Neuroth of Springdale Arkansas and Jacqueline and Tony LaRiche of Lincoln, and sons and daughters in law, Douglass and Esther Burns of Lakeway, Texas, and Steven and Lisa Burns of Lincoln; nine granddaughters and two grandsons; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Jerry England of Mountlake Terrace, Washington and one sister, Fran Best, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Cleo is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; one infant child, Constance; her parents; one brother and four sisters.
