Charles Edward Snyder was born on September 12, 1946, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Carl W. & Margaret (Long) Snyder. He attended Auburn Public Schools and Westside High School and graduated from Auburn High School in 1964. He graduated from UNL with a degree in Business Administration in 1969.
On July 11, 1966, he married Theresa Redfern. They were blessed with two children: Scott and Melissa. They lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, all their married lives. Chuck fell into ill health in April 2024 and passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are Wife Theresa; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Karla Snyder; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and David Antinoro; grandchildren Garrett and Rece Snyder, Louis, Sophia, and Samuel Antinoro; sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Rev. Steve Dahl; nieces Lindsey Harris, Carolyn Harvey, and Wendy Dahl; and five great-nieces and nephews.
Chuck enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all their activities, including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, cross country, and track. He also attended every band and orchestra performance. Chuck cherished family dinners and his favorite meal: steak, potatoes, and cherry pie. He enjoyed his retirement years by relaxing at home and spending time with his cats, Prince & Ariel.
Chuck and his longtime friend and business partner, Wayne Larson, spent many hours on their farms. He found solace and tranquility in the countryside and stayed busy with various farm projects.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed!
A celebration of life for Charles will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation. Arrangements entrusted to Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
