Carmen Bermejo Ramirez

Carmen Bermejo Ramirez, 86, died on June 2, 2015 in Lincoln, Neb. Born in Colton, Calif., Carmen had five siblings and was the fourth daughter of Leocadio and Refugia Bermejo. She was a resident of El Paso, Tex. before settling in Lincoln, Neb. in 1971 with her children. Carmen worked as a cook at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for more than 15 years. Carmen is survived by sisters Guadalupe Ulloa, of Lerdo, Mex. and Francisca Romero, of Calif.; children Ruth D. Ybarra, Rosalinda, Raul B., and Ramon Ramirez; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Raul G. Ramirez, daughter Maria Rosario Maynez and son Ricardo Ramirez; siblings Rufina Gamboa and Jose Luis Bermejo; and parents. Funeral service will be Monday, June 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE.; Visitation: Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 2-4 pm.
