1987 - 2018
He died Sunday, July 15, 2018, in Eagle, NE.
The son of Jeffrey and Veronique {Ogden} Retzlaff was born on October 2nd, 1987, in Sioux City, IA where he was also baptized. In May of 2006, he graduated from Waverly High School. Brandon loved to work on anything mechanical or electrical, and shared this love with his sons who helped him frequently work on his old Dodge pickup. He was an avid video gamer and computer enthusiast where he made many friends through annual events. He spent the last 9 years working for Larry Keuhn and his family (owners of Midlands Duct Cleaning) where he gained a second family. Brandon was a friend to everyone who knew him and had an unconditional love for his family, his friends, his rescue dog Kaya, but most of all, he loved his three sons “to the moon and back.” He sacrificed so much to give them a life full of love, fun, learning, and interest in a variety of skills. When Brandon heard of a friend or family member in need, he never hesitated and stepped up to help in any way he could. Brandon was a selfless, generous soul who touched the lives of everyone he knew.
Brandon is survived by his sons Braxton 7, Braylon 3, Devin 2, and their mother Marion Gray, his parents Veronique Retzlaff of Eagle, Jeffrey Retzlaff and Julie Starnes of Ashland, one sister Vanessa Retzlaff of Denver, one grandmother Theresa Retzlaff of Fremont, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Yolaine Ogden, grandfather Robert (Mick) Ogden, grandfather Jerry Retzlaff, great grandparents Emmanuel and Yvonne Brand of Surgeres, France, Carl and Clara Buhrman of Wausa, and Lawrence and Gladys Retzlaff of Lincoln.
