Betty Sievers

Betty (McMahon) Sievers, 90, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2015. She was preceded in death by husband Bob Sievers. Betty was born April 6, 1925 in Sargent to Edwin and Eva (Granger) Anderson. She had many fond memories of growing up in a sod house in the sandhills of Nebraska. She had one older sister (Jean) and two younger brothers (Bob and Ivan) who preceded her in death. She was employed at Norden Laboratories for about twenty years. Betty was the mother of four children. She had ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Oldest son Noah Garramone and grandson Ravi live in Hawaii; Second son is Jim Becker (wife Sandi), granddaughter Amanda Becker with great granddaughter Faith Bohaty, grandson Zach Becker (wife Cheron), granddaughter Melanie Peterson (husband Josh); Youngest son is Bill Becker (special friend Agnes), grandson Jesse Becker (wife Elizabeth), granddaughter Sarah Hoyer (husband Josh) with great granddaughters AvaLee and Clara, grandson Jake Becker; Daughter is Linda Fogerty (husband Jim), grandsons Rylan Fogerty and Chad Fogerty, granddaughter Olivia Fogerty (special friend Tony), Graveside service is 11:30am on Friday April 17 at Lincoln Memorial Park, 6800 So. 14th, Lincoln, NE followed by lunch reception at Lincoln Memorial funeral home. Family and friends should gather at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Humane Society.
