Master Sergeant William R. Spooner was born on the 23rd of March, 1933 in Long Beach, California, and was laid into rest on a warm spring day, the 25th of May 2021. William is survived by his loving wife Rosemarie, daughter Edith, son-in-law Steve, son Terry, daughter-in-law Alla, sister-in-law Edith, and brother-in-law Rudi; Grandchildren Nicole, Arianne, Taylor, Marlene, Erik, and great-granddaughter Brookelyn.
William enjoyed swimming, diving, flying, travelling, archaeology, geology, and astronomy. William graduated high school and studied Science Education with honors. He spent two years in the US Navy, then went on to spend 22 years in the US Air Force, where he was an airplane mechanic and a Master Sergeant. He honorably retired from the Air Force on June 1st, 1974.
