Paula Jean Mason

Paula Jean Mason was born on March 7th, 1943 in Las Vegas, NV, and passed away on September 11th, 2022 in Sheridan, CA. Paula is preceded in death by her son, Paul William Mason; her father, Paul Wesley Rodney; her mother, Madelyne Verna Smith; a sister, Marilyn Carole Rodney; and a brother, Vail Wesley Rodney. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lanny Mason. She is also survived by 5 siblings: Cherryl Lynn Rodney, Vernon Lewis Rodney, Patricia Ellen “Teeca” Hutchinson, Joey Phillip Rodney, & Christa Faye Rodney. Paula enjoyed being with family and her beloved dogs; playing table games (especially “South of the Border”), and going to the casino with her beloved husband for dinner and entertainment. She also loved to crochet and watch television game shows. Paula and her husband, Lanny, were a “ROCK” for the entire family. They were the care-givers of our mother, father, and aunt until their passing, and, at one time or another, provided a home to nearly every member of the family. Their home was a central meeting place for family events and gatherings. They’re well known and loved by all for their warm and generous hospitality. Paula’s expression of love & thoughtfulness toward her family is in the following clipping she kept in the front of her bible that was discovered on the evening of her passing.
