She was the daughter of Pamela Wharton and Donald Wharton (and Janet), born to Pamela (Port) and Perry Edward Tingey II (deceased), October 25, 1974, in Sacramento, California. She was the first grandchild born to Llewellyn “Jack” and Bula Port of Rupert, Idaho; Donald and Donyne Wharton of Sacramento, California; and Merwyn and Julie Tingey of Sacramento, California, all of whom joyously greeted her upon her return home to her Heavenly home with God.
Jodi attended school at Edward Kemble Elementary and Florin Elementary, both in Sacramento, Joseph Kerr Middle School and Elk Grove High schools, both in Elk Grove, California.
After completing school, Jodi moved to Sparks, Nevada where she met and married Dana Belton. She spent nearly 15 years running her own in-home day care. She adored babies and children and was blessed to have three beautiful children of her own who were her pride and joy… Allison Breann Belton of San Antonio Texas, Brian Andrew Belton and Colin Dana Belton, both of Sparks, Nevada. Once her children were grown, Jodi decided to make a change in careers and went into the medical field. She received her Medical Assisting degree and went to work for Dr. William Miyazaki, in Reno, where she was employed until the time of her illness.
Jodi is survived by her brothers Timothy (and Amberly) Tingey, Christopher (and Teresa) Wharton, Cameron (and Maria) Wharton, sister Sara Sadler (and Joe Pallas), along with 15 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her husband Frederick Bambury to whom she was married on 02/22/2022.
Jodi was fun loving, free spirited and lived life to the fullest. She was bubbly and cheerful and radiated joy and happiness to all those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
