Gregory William Ruiz

Greg’s family has resided in Lincoln for over 100 years. Greg suffered from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and passed peacefully at home with his family and friends by his side.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Donna Ruiz. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Rebecca of 20 years, Sister Priscilla, Aunt Orlene, daughters Stephanie (Anthony), Crystal, Raquel, and son Julian. Grandchildren, Alonzo, Jazmyn, Makayla, Ariana, Matthew, Sophia, Malia, Jennavecia, and Lorenzo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Greg was an amazing athlete and was one of the best basketball players of his time at Lincoln High School. Sports followed him to the army. He played baseball all four of his years with the US Army. Later in life Greg shared his love of sports by coaching the generation to follow. Besides sports he enjoyed his garden, barbeques and watching the Forty Niners. You could also count on him if you needed a haircut. Great scissor skills. Greg’s greatest achievement in life was being a dad and grandpa.

Family and friends are invited to a rosary, blessing, and VFW honors at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 280 Oak Tree Lane, Lincoln, CA 95648 on December 4th, 2021 at 12:00pm. Reception to immediately follow at Mt. Pleasant Hall 3333 Mt. Pleasant Rd. Lincoln, CA 95648.
