Vivian M. Ward, 85 of Lima died 11:40 a.m. Thursday September 23, 2010 in the ER of St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on January 18, 1925 in Winfield, West Virginia to John R. & Alberta M. (Childers) Edwards and they preceded her in death. On Oct. 28, 1947 she married Paul T. Ward and he passed away February 19, 1994.
Vivian had been a Ship welder in Baltimore in 1944. She had worked at Sylvania in West Virginia and made jet engine blades for Ex-Cell-O from August 1954 until May 1985.
She is survived by her children: Dreama Patterson of Elida and John (Carol) Ward of Lima. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Ron (Pam), Chris, Liz (Scott), Vickie (Brian), John (Nicole), Jack (Tracy), Vincente and Priscilla (Terry), nineteen great grandchildren: Tom, Gabe, Cheyenne, Travis, Scott, Samantha, Kevin, Cory, Samantha, Tyler, Lilly, Jonathan, Chris, Jacob, Zac, Tristan, Luke, Derek and Nate and two great great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and spouse she was preceded in death by a son: Paul Thomas Ward, II, her siblings: Elizabeth Sells, Catherine Porter, Geraldine Morris, Pauline Sells, Helen Rogers, Edward Edwards and Harold Edwards.
She attended Lima Community Church, she loved her birds, flowers and getting together with her family.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
