Rhea J. Bechdolt, 75 of rural Lima, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 22, 1937 in Harrod, Ohio to Chester and Marcine (Hanley) Rex and they preceded her in death. On August 24, 1957 she married the love of her life, Roger L. Bechdolt and he survives her.
Mrs. Bechdolt is survived by a son, Scott (Janie) Bechdolt of Elida, her grandchildren, Amanda, Dakota, Chloe and Canyon. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Peggy Wirt, Bob Rex and Gladys Shade.
Rhea attended the Union Chapel Missionary Church, she had been employed for ten years at City Loan and she retired in 1998 from Williams Excavating. She was a member of the Harrod Happy Homes C.C.L. She was a wonderful wife, mother and loved her grandchildren very much and in return they adored her. She was an awesome interior decorator, making the home she shared with her family a lovely and warm environment. She loved all kinds of music and enjoyed singing .
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Union Chapel Missionary Church with Rev. Mark Bayliff officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Westminster Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, March 29 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Union Chapel Missionary Church 4869 Ada Road Lima, Ohio. These arrangements are under the direction of Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
