Phyllis Jean Wright, 86, of Dayton, and formerly of Lima, died at 9:05 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at her residence. She was born November 12, 1927, in Montgomery County, to Earl Martin and Mildred Marie (Bennett) Stiver and they preceded her in death. On June 18, 1948 she married Owen Kenneth Wright and he also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her children, Ruth Anne Lykins of Westerville and Ronald Wesley (Brenda G.) Wright of Fostoria. A son, Owen Keith Wright preceded her in death. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Todd (Colleen) Lykins, Ross (Julie) Lykins both of Westerville and Ronald Douglas Wright of Fostoria. She also is survived by her great grandchildren: Camryn, Carter, Callan, Chanler, MacKenzie and Jack. Phyllis is survived by her siblings, Elsie Marie Beachler and James Kneier both of Dayton and Herbert Leon Stiver of Tipp City. She also leaves behind a great niece and her husband Angie and John Lehman.
Phyllis was a wonderful mother and homemaker and was the loving wife of a United Methodist Minister for 50 years, as well a Christian since childhood. She was a collector of Shirley Temple memorabilia and was a great fan of the late actress, and philanthropist-government official.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Friday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
