Nancy L. Henline Stimmel

Nancy L. Stimmel, 84, of Lima, died at 11:08 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 18, 1926, in Weston, WV, to Cecil R. and Ircel M. (Smith) Henline who preceded her in death. On June 2, 1956, she married Virgil B. Stimmel who died on Aug. 19, 1974.

Mrs. Stimmel was a homemaker and had been employed at Betty Brite Cleaners for 16 years. She loved racing.

Surviving are five children: Harlan (Robin) Hooker and Clifford (Sharon) Hooker both of Lima, Denny (Paula) Hooker of Fremont, IN, Jeff (Emmie Jo) Stimmel and Greg (Evelyn) Stimmel both of Lima; stepchildren: Shirley (Pete) Miller of Belpre, OH, Norma Jean Grieson of Troy, James (Pat) Stimmel of Elida and Frank Stimmel of Lima; a brother: Paul Henline of Lima; 33 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Perry Stimmel; a sister: Betty Henline; a son-in-law, Jerry Grieson and a daughter-in-law, Linda Stimmel and a sister-in-law: Sue Henline.

Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Pastor Ed Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, from Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
