Mary Jane "Janie" Johnson Miller

Mary Jane “Janie” Miller, 76 of Lima passed away at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday night, March 17, 2015 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on February 1, 1939 in Allentown to John H. & Thelma Irene (Highland) Johnson and they preceded her in death. On April 15 she would have celebrated 37 years of marriage to Thomas L. Miller, Sr. and he survives her.

She is survived by a stepson, Thomas L. Miller, Jr. of Lima and a stepdaughter, Annette Elaine (Kent) Martz of New Boston, Texas. Mary Jane is also survived by her step grandchildren, Jesse Lee Miller, Josh Kline, Scott Salyer and Cory Salyer; her sisters, Jacqueline (Irwin) Puckett of Defiance and Betty (Lee) Fensler of Ada. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Johnson.

Mary Jane had been the administrative professional for some local attorneys and had been a salesperson for Zales Jewelry. She dearly loved her family and they loved her in return. She was very fond of most any kind of animal.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
