Mark Edward “Cornbread” McDonald, 53, of Chicago, Illinois passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lima on August 4, 1964, to Earlie Lee & Loretta Vonzel (Jackson) McDonald who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Al Luster and a nephew, Kevin Dwayne Barge McDonald.
Mr. McDonald moved to Chicago where he was first employed at a restaurant, then the YMCA, followed by a grocery store and retired after 38 years working in a nursing home. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lima and had been a foster parent.
Mark is survived by his siblings, Craig (Audrey) McDonald, Sr., Steve McDonald and Richard McDonald all of Lima, his twin, Michael McDonald of Findlay and Debra McDonald Hall of Lima; and a sister-in-law, Rosie Luster of LIma. He also leaves to cherish his memory many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews a Great Aunt, Dollie Taylor of Twinsburg, OH, his Uncle Ray Banks of Lima, and his best friend, Tony Sheeley who was like a brother to the entire family. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Memorial Services will be on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bradfield Center, Lima, Ohio. Services have been entrusted to SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME, Lima, Ohio.
