Laurie (Zerante) Snider, 57, of Monclova, passed away with her family by her side on January 27, 2018 after many years of courageous fighting. She was born on June 16, 1960 in Lima, OH to John and Joyce Zerante.
Laurie was a loving wife, mother, and friend and was elated with the opportunity to recently become a grandmother. Her passion in life was spending time with those she loved, especially on vacations to Long Lake near Traverse City, MI. She was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic, class of 1978. Laurie worked as an office manager at The Toledo Fertility Clinic, a job she loved. She was a member of the esteemed BSW’s, a proud product of Melrose Street, and a second mother to many of her children’s friends. She will be remembered for her legacy of strength, compassion, and love.
Laurie is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Dick Snider, her children, Jaimie and Jimmy Snider, her grandson, Jordan, her parents, John and Joyce Zerante, and her siblings, Sharon Greene, Kathi Vidal, John Zerante Jr, and Marci Zerante. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She is predeceased by her grandparents Sam and Anne Zerante and Franklin and Viola Musser, as well as her beloved dog, Tilly.
Funeral services will be held at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church in Lima, OH at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3rd. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
Laurie’s wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the many doctors, nurses, and staff at the Cleveland Clinic, University of Toledo Medical Center, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio who greatly helped Laurie and her family through her fight.
