Kimberly Kay Hastings, 49, of Lima, passed away at 1:14 p.m., Tuesday, February 05, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born January 28, 1964, in Lima, to Charles and Judy (McGrievy) Hastings. Her father preceded her in death in 2008 and her mother survives in Lima. She was formerly married to Robert W. Burns.
Ms. Hastings was a 1982 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She had been a volunteer for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Northwestern Ohio Chapter. She had also been a Girl Scout Leader. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kalyn (Nate) Dyer of Ada and Lyndsey Burns of Wapakoneta; three granddaughters: Charlie Dyer, Rylie Dyer and Layla Fuerst; four siblings: Rick (Cindy) Hastings of Lima, Deborah (Dennis) Hawkey of League City, TX, Ronda (Pierre) Jacques of Kalida and Kelly (Laura) Hastings of Lima; nieces and nephews: Asa (Nancy) Mortimer, Ryan (Angie Schick) Mortimer, Jaime (Ryan Castor) Mortimer, Nicole (Robert) Beene, Staci Hastings, Jessie Hastings, Amie (Bart) Enright, Elise Hastings and Dalton Hastings; and many great nieces and great nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Kolin Hastings.
Her funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Brother Bill Reeder officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, from 1-3, and 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
