John P Rohr

.John P. Rohr, 83, of Lima passed away early Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017 at his residence . He was born August 12, 1933 in Lima to John A. and Dorothy A. (Fike) Rohr, and they precede him in death. On June 4, 1952, he married Shirley J. Camper and she survives him.

Mr. Rohr is also survived by his children, J. Brian Rohr of Fairfield, Janet L. (Claude) Paxton of Elida and Ronna L. Todd of Ada; his grandchildren, Josh J. Todd and Wendi L. (Eric) Romano and a great granddaughter, Saoirse. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Louise Niemeyer and Rose J. Williams.

John was a lifetime carpenter; he was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ, he loved to volunteer at church and at Marimor, as well as he enjoyed traveling. He was a 1951 graduate of South High School. And he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict where he ranked a Staff Sergeant.

At Mr. Rohr’s request there will be no services or visitation.
