Catherine M. “Kaye” Dixon, 88, of Lima, died at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Elmcroft of Lima. She was born May 18, 1927, in Saginaw, MI, to Carl W. and Marian M. (Hopkins) Kuebler. On Aug. 21, 1952, she married Richard W. Dixon who preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2011.
Surviving are her daughters: Nancy (Floyd “Mick) Hartung of Lima and Judy (Jon) Courtier of Hopkinsville, KY; grandchildren: Richard (Andrea) Hartung and Rebecca Hartung; siblings: Betty Joliff of Oregon, Barbara Hunt of Columbus, Carl Kuebler of Pottersville, MI, Al (Marilyn) Kuebler of Clare, MI.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Kuebler.
Kaye and her husband lived in Grand Ledge, MI from the time of their marriage until the 1970’s. Then they moved to the east coast of Florida and eventually moved to Ohio in the late 1990’s to be close to their family.
She retired as a department manager for the Meijer in Lansing, MI. She and her husband attended Faith Baptist Church in Elida until their health no longer permitted. She loved to play cards, was an avid golfer and a great bowler. They loved to play BINGO on Friday afternoon at the Senior Citizens and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held later this year in Michigan.
