Anna Belle Briggs, 87, of Lima, passed away on August 13, 2014, at 4:00 a.m. at Lima Manor, Lima. She was born on February 25, 1927 and was the daughter to Albert & Phyllis M. (Patton) Beeler, who preceded her in death. On July 2, 1971, she married Rollin Briggs who survives her. Anna Belle retired from Ex-cello Corp., Welles Department Store, Artex Paints, and Dacinty Fashions, Woolen Mills, A&P Grocery Store, and the Tank Depot where she worked during WWII, but the hardest job was raising three sons. She enjoyed going on bus trips with her sister Juanita. Anna Belle was a longtime volunteer at St. Rita’s hospital; she belonged to the Red Hat Society, and was formerly a member of the First Church of God. Anna is survived by her three sons, Tom Edward (Angie) Davis of Florida, Timothy Lee (Brenda) Davis of Troy, OH, Ted Eugene (Dee) Davis of Lima, two step sons, Arden Briggs of Sidney, OH, Bruce Briggs of Mendon, OH, a sister, Juanita Bowersock, of Lima, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband William E. Davis, her brothers Cyril Albert Beeler & Merton W. Beeler, her sisters, Fern Elizabeth Ruth, and Velva M. Eagy. Services will be held on Friday August 15, 2014 at 2 P.M at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association and St. Rita’s Hospice.
