Alice L Gordon

She was born on February 15, 1916 to Cary A. & Mildred R. (Westbay) Harter, who preceded her in death, in Allen County. On August 3, 1934, she married Verlin D. Gordon, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 23, 1983.

Alice was a member of the 1934 graduating class of South High School in Lima, and was a life member of South Side Christian Church, where she also taught Sunday school. Alice also enjoyed writing weekly Sunday school lessons for the Wapakoneta Daily News.

She is survived by her beloved daughter-in-law, Shirley Gordon of Lima, her three grandchildren, Pastor Mark (Patty) Gordon of Lima, Todd (Yvette) Gordon, of Lima, and her dear granddaughter Beth (John) Geise, of Delphos, 7 great grandsons, 4 great granddaughters, 3 step great-granddaughters, 4 great-great grandchildren, 7 step great-great- grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her son V. Dale Gordon, Jr. brothers Paul E. and Ronald E. Harter.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 12:00 P.M, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Pastors Wanda Werking, Steven Brown, and Mark Gordon officiating. Visitation will be held on the same day from 10-12 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
