Born on June 5, 1954 Stan was the fourth son of Jackson Barron Daniel, Sr. of Decatur and Iola Abee Daniel of Dahlonega. Stan grew up in Atlanta and attended McLendon Elementary School and Tucker High School. Stan entered the United States Marine Corps in May of 1971 and served his Country proudly for six years. After his military service, Stan worked for over 35 years in the Insurance and Automotive repair industries before retiring in 2011. Stan was predeceased by his parents and brothers Jackson Barron Daniel, Jr. and Michael Steven Daniel. He is survived by brothers Douglas A. Daniel and wife Edith of Atlanta, Ga. and Keith A. Daniel and wife Mary Beth of Roswell, Ga., nephews Colin B. Daniel and wife Alice of Atlanta, Parrish A. Daniel of Tucker, Wes Bradshaw and wife Sumner of Brookhaven, nieces Megan D. Levy and husband Alex of Sandy Springs and Lindsay Daniel Wegener and husband Chris of Atlanta, Courtney Baldwin and husband Chris of Brookhaven, Isabelle and Jacquelyn Daniel of Roswell. Stan was also blessed with three great nieces and six great nephews and a large extended family who will dearly miss him.
Stan was dedicated to those that were less fortunate and often gave his time, money and counsel about the struggles of life to others in need. He was a big proponent of those who were too weak or downtrodden to speak up for themselves. He wanted to lift up others through the struggles of life as many had helped him in his past. He volunteered for many years on Thanksgiving with Hosea’s feed the hungry campaign, and worked tirelessly to help other overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs. Stan loved the “Lake Life” where he spent his retirement on Lake Jackson with his many friends and family. He and his friend Mitch Blalock spent endless hours together building custom boats that will never be paralleled. He had a passion for anything that would float and loved to ride the lake and visit with friends. Stan was an animal lover like no other. He always had a dog as a sidekick. Oreo, Brandy, Bonnie and many others that he loved dearly will be so glad to see him on the other side. Stan was always the life of the party and will be missed by everyone who ever befriended him. He will be remembered for his quick wit, zest for life, compassion for others and his love of family. Sadly for us, he starts a new journey without us here on earth, but he is certain to liven up things at the party in heaven. God bless you Stan, we love you with all of our heart and will miss you terribly every day.
