Luz Marina is survived by her mother Maria Heblin Correa Cardona of Armenia, Colombia, her son Juan Jose Saldaña of Roswell, Georgia, and her brother Julio Alberto Correa Cardona of Queens, New York. She is preceded in death by her father Julio Alberto Correa of Armenia, Colombia.
Luz Marina was born on April 14th, 1962 in Bogota, Colombia to Maria Heblin Correa Cardona and Julio Alberto Correa. A person of incredible strength and resilience, Luz Marina moved to the states from Colombia in the late 80s. Soon after she met Juan Jose Saldaña and in 1992, they welcomed a baby boy whom they named Juan Jose.
Friends and family will remember Luz Marina as an unwavering friend, a devoted daughter, a loving mother, and a beautiful noble soul. She was someone with a passion for life. Anyone who had the pleasure of being in her presence experienced her vibrant personality, her contagious laugh, and her quick wit. Someone always willing to support those around her and lend a hand to anyone in need, Luz Marina would travel hours to anywhere she was needed and make sure that everyone around her knew they were loved. Her devotion was endless.
Luz Marina had many talents. Her artistic abilities, her love of dance, and her appreciation for anything creative can be seen in everything she touched.
Friends and family will honor Luz Marina Saladaña on Sunday, November 25th . The family asks that friends join them at 10:00am at Advantage Funeral Home located at 500 Harbins Road NW, Liburn, GA 30047 for her wake followed by a small ceremony at her final resting place.
