Terry was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed working in the garden and the UNC Tarheels. Terry never met a stranger, he put a smile on the face of everyone he ever met. He retired from UPS after 44 years of service and was a member of the Circle of Honor for safe driving for 36 years.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Liberty with Rev. Kenny Black officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.
Terry was the son of the late Bill and Edith Aileen Caviness Smith.
Surviving is his wife of 22 years, Libby Shoffner Smith; daughters, Tabitha Smith Judson (Billy), Tabitha Stewart Schenkel (Don); son, Brad Smith (Marie); grandchildren, Kayla Allen, Courtney Allen, Marcus Smith, Elijah Schenkel, Maddax Judson, Austin Smith, Memphis Judson; and one great-grandchild, Liam Aldridge.
