Paul David Sherman

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Erwin Fire Department, 200 South 13th Street, Erwin, NC 28339.

Butch was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Cronin Sherman; grandparents, Paul Dodds Sherman, Margaret Heasly McGinty, David Cronin and Bessie Cronin; and uncles, William “Billy” Eugene Sherman and Jeffrey Paul Sherman.

He leaves behind his daughter, Nora Ann Sherman; significant other, Tiffany Parquet; father and stepmother, Ralph and Catherine Sherman; sister, Virginia Sherman Bynam; step-sister, Kristina Carter Skinner; grandmother, Mary Lee Sherman; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Butch was a Firefighter and EMT for Erwin Fire Department for several years and, most recently, Westarea Fire Department in Linden. Anyone who knew “Butch”, knew him as the type of guy who would help you move a pebble or a mountain; dependable in every way. He loved his family, his fire department and EMS family, and especially his precious girl, Nora.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nora Ann Sherman Trust at NCSECU.
