A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sandy Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Sandy Creek Church Road, Liberty, NC, officiated by Elder Gene Hogan. Burial will follow the in the church Cemetery.
Mrs. Layton was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Layton; son, Timothy Layton; parents, Roy and Anna Lawson Booth; brothers, Royce Booth and Bernard Booth.
Mrs. Layton is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Layton; grandson, Michael Layton; sisters, Sheila Fogleman (James), Paulette Forbis (Winfred), Sammie Johnson; brother, Keith Booth (Faye), and many nieces and nephews
