A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1712 Pleasant Hill Liberty Road, Liberty; with Pastor Howard Spray officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. before the service.
Martha was the daughter of the late Ralph Abel Jones and Dollie Carter Jones.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 31 ½ years, Wayne Way, of Liberty; son, Jake Way, of Liberty; daughter, Katie Way, and husband, Davis Hawks, of Burlington; and brother, Dr. Charles H. Jones, of Natchitoches, LA.
Martha was an Appalachian State University alumni, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History. She served 30+ years at Alamance Memorial Library. She loved her job and her work family dearly. Martha had a caring and nurturing way about her that spread throughout her family and friends. She always enjoyed baking, antique shopping, weekend trips to the mountains with Wayne and beach trips with the family. Her constant support and love for her children and husband will be forever in our hearts.
