Lola Mae Smith Gregson, age 97, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC.

She was born August 8, 1921, in Liberty, NC to William Arthur and Swanna Humble Smith. In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gregson, two brothers, and four sisters.

She is survived by sons Jim Gregson of Morehead City, NC and Charles Gregson of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister Mamie Teague of Greensboro, NC.

Lola was a member of Liberty Friends Meeting in Liberty, NC.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service which be held 2 pm Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty, NC. Burial will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park, 6504 Liberty Road, Julian, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Liberty Friends Meeting, P.O. Box 1153, Liberty, NC 27298.
