She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Greensboro and later attended Shiloh United Methodist Church in Liberty. She was co-owner of Sparkle Car Wash in Greensboro and retired from Zayre’s Department Store.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church; burial will follow in Gilmore Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was the daughter of the late Austin Wilson and Martha Davis Wilson Richardson and step-father, Roby Richardson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold T. Richardson; two sisters, Pauline Linnins and Edna Smith and one brother Houstin L. Wilson
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Kay Cox, Bill Linnins Jr., Pam White, Jerry Linnins, Martha Linnins, Joseph Linnins, David Linnins, Frank Smith, Gene Smith, Scottie Smith and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to Liberty Hospice Service out of Sanford for the care shown to Mrs. Richardson.
At the family request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund, 7394 Shiloh Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
