Kathleen Hensley Kivett

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Kivett, Rev. Tim Pheagin and Rev. W. Alexander Miles, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late George Sr. and Edna McPherson Hensley and was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Loftin Kivett; granddaughter, Kristen Renee Leonard; great-grandson, William Ragsdale; sister, Shirley Tosh and brothers, Earl Hensley and George Hensley, Jr.

Surviving is her daughter, Sandra Leonard and husband, Patrick of Liberty; sons, Richard “Dickie” Kivett of Liberty and Ricky Dale Kivett and wife, Nan of Liberty; grandchildren, Keith Leonard, Kimberly Ragsdale, Hillary McGee, Heather K. Kivett, and Molly Elizabeth Kivett; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Jones of Ravenel, SC and Priscilla Steele of Elon and brother, John T. Hensley of Elon.
