He was a US Army veteran and was retired from Brown Realty.
Mr. Welker’s funeral service will be private. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.
He was the son of the late Claude and Rosa Welker and was also preceded in death by two brothers TD Welker of Wade, NC and Steve “Pete” Welker of Wilson, NC
Surviving is his wife, Anne Neese Welker of the home; daughters, Carol Welker Hawk of Sebastian, FL and Geri Lyn Welker of Asheboro, NC; son, Kenneth Allen Welker of Staley, NC; grandchildren, Tate Welker, Reilly Welker and Joshua Brower; daughter-in-law, Maggie Dunn; sisters, Barbara Barton of Kernersville, NC; Margaret Shepard of San Mateo, FL; Mary Cox of Whitsett, NC; Judy Reynolds of Saxapahaw NC; Betty Knebel of Waxhaw, NC; Claudia “Susie” Meyers, Gibsonville, NC; Angie Reaves, Gibsonville, NC and brothers, William “Bill” Welker of McLeansville, NC, John Welker of Kimesville, NC, Jack Welker of Mableton, GA, Charles “Ike” Welker of Greensboro, NC, James “Jim” Welker of Wade, NC, Richard Welker of Linden, NC.
