George Anderson Whitaker Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Red Cross Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bud Rowe; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty and other times at the home of Richard and Faylene Whitaker.

He was the only son of the late George Anderson Whitaker, Sr. and Lillian Marie Salmon Whitaker.

Surviving is his wife, Larue Snider Whitaker, daughter, Pamela Whitaker and her husband, David J. Craven; son, Richard Whitaker and his wife, Faylene W. Whitaker; four grandchildren, Shane A. Whitaker and his wife, Kelly, Travis K. Whitaker and his wife, Shannon, Jonathan R. Craven and his wife, Heather and Austin N. Craven and his wife, Casey; six great-grandchildren, Lilly, Chase, Kenly and Peyton Whitaker, Alice and George Craven; and brother-in-law, Lloyd B. Snider.
