Mrs. Gale Wallace Clark Paire, age 85, former long-time resident of Greensboro, passed away from this earthly home on Monday, March 20, 2023. Gale and her late husband, George, lived in Siler City for the past 20+ years.
She was born in Cucumber, West Virginia to Adam and Edgar Wallace. She grew up in Abingdon, VA where she met her first husband, David Clark. They moved to Greensboro, NC where they raised their five daughters.
Gale was past member of Hunter Hills Evangelical Friends Church (now The New Heart Community of Friends). She taught Children's Church, Sunday School and sang in the choir. At the time of her death, she was a member of Piney Grove Methodist Church.
After the death of her first husband, David, she was fortunate to meet and marry George Paire. Upon her retirement from Rexham Corporation, their days were filled with grandchildren, travel, golf, gardening, and serving in their church.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was predeceased by her husband, George Paire and daughter, Laura Combs. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, beloved brother, Errol Wallace (Mary), and her four daughters, Leslie Hunt (Tommy), Kathryn Cox (Tim), Carole Shackleford (David) and Kimberly Watson (David) and step-son, John Paire (Elizabeth). She had 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Piney Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Parker Coppock officiating; and inurnment to follow at Rocky River Friends Meeting Cemetery.
