I just heard about Ed's passing today. My mother was related to Joe, Ed's father. I want to express sympathy from all my family, children of Ruth Clapp Deaton. There is no finer, friendlier, helpful family than the Harmons. We're very sorry.

Eddie was the best friend I've ever had. Our lives had taken different paths since high school when we hung out and rode motorcyles. He was the friendliest, down to earth person I've ever had the priveledge to know. I'll remember him for his laugh and how fast he could take curves in the road on that 350 Yamaha he rode more than 30 years ago. I was deeply saddened to hear the news.

It was only late Saturday that I found out our dear friend and neighbor had left us.  He was here at the house on Wednesday afternoon - how were we to know that he'd be leaving us the very next day.  Ed will truly be missed.  Such a kind, generous, caring person.  Hardly ever saw him without a smile on his face, and that's how I'll always remember him.  It's good to know that we'll all be reunited one glorious day!  Prayers go out to the entire Harmon family.

We heard about Ed's death through friends of the Red Cross.  Ed was a great asset to the disaster program as well as doing maintenance around the building.  His talents and skills will be greatly missed.  He had so much to offer

Eddie was a great guy.  I always enjoyed being around him.  I worked with him in the past several times.  He will greatly be missed by all.  My prayers are with the Harmon family.

I am truly blessed to have crossed your path on life's journey.   Our "gentle giant" your actions spoke louder than your words...as a blood donor you saved countless lives of people you never met, you gave comfort and care when you arrived on the scene of disasters, your made the whole office light up when you came in our door...just to ask "anything need fixing?" Your love, laughter, light and heart as big as all outdoors will be missed.
