Earnest "Ernie" Alvin Rickman

His family was his true love and riding his Harley was the love of his life and unfortunately that love was what took him away.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC; inurnment will follow the service at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian, NC with military honors performed by The Randolph County Honor Guard.

He was the son of the late John Henry and Margaret Caywood Rickman and was also preceded in death by his son, Richard "Todd" Rickman; sister, Clara Etta Griffin and brother, James Charles "JC" Rickman.

Ernie is survived by his daughter, Lenora Hardin and her husband, Calvin; sons, Roger Rickman and his wife, Gloria "GH" and Jimmy Rickman; grandchildren, JD Rickman, Rodney Matthews, Ronny Matthews and Megan Layton; and 10 great-grandchildren.
