He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Kimesville, NC; burial to follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Earl was the son of Solon Lorenzo and Hattie Nicholson Murray. He is also preceded in death by his twin brother, Elmer and brother, S.L. Murray; sisters, Mary Taylor, Madge Brown, Gladys Euliss and Grace Newton.
He is survived by his wife, Marion H. Murray; son, Ronald Murray and wife, Brenda of Greensboro; granddaughter, Cheryl Lynn Mat and husband, Louis; Great-grandchildren, Monica and Ponleu Mat.
