He was a Korean War veteran and served in the US Air Force. Charles retired from Montgomery Elevator Company as the Northeast Regional Manager. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberty where he was a former deacon. He was a man of faith who loved his family and country.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Liberty with Rev. Dr. John Rogers officiating. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, West Virginia.
He was the son of the late Charles, Sr. and Ellis Octavia Hoffman Neff and was also preceded in death by his son, James Neff and brother, Robert Neff.
Charles is survived by his wife of 49 years, Avonelle Cantley Neff; and daughters, Susan Neff, Karen Harris, Teresa Pauley, Tina Annette Cecil, and Mary Jane Stine; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
