Rosalind “Roz” Camille Johnson, 70, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 31st, 2023. Roz was born in San Diego, California on February 18th, 1953 to Mary Alice and Willie Grant Lyles. She attended Casa Loma College in Pacoima, California and earned an Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Roz worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 40 years, and worked in the Walmart Garden Center for 20 years. She was an avid hobby crafter and reader, as well as being a tech enthusiast. Roz was very generous, often saying, "I want to do at least one thing each day that would make a difference in someone's life, as you never know what people are going through." She never wanted to be a cause of discomfort or anger.
Roz was preceded in death by her parents, Mary A. Lyles and Willie G. Lyles. She is survived by her four children: Charles Zeno, Mia Johnson, Ellis Johnson, III, and Amber Caldwell; her grandchildren, Tia, Xavier, Quentin, Savion, Zackary, Allie, Kerrigan, and Kingsley. Her four surviving siblings are Judy Jordan, Willie Lyles, Deborah Lyles, and Stanley Lyles. She also has a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 East Franklin Street, Liberty, Missouri on Friday, April 7th, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
