Pauleen Elizabeth Godley of Avondale, MO passed away October 13, 2014 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Pauleen and her twin Colleen were born to Charles and Emma Thomas in Liberty, MO on April 7, 1929. A lifelong Northlander, she graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1947. Three years later she married Donald Mynatt and they had three children, twin daughters Jean and Jan and son Kris, before Donald’s death in 1958. In 1963 she married John Godley and the following year daughter Julie was born. Pauleen’s home was warm, inviting and often filled with family. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren spoiling everyone with home cooked meals and an always full candy dish. She collected many things; dolls, stuffed animals, dishes, and music boxes. Pauleen was preceded in death by her husbands Donald Mynatt and John Godley, sister Lou Coleman, brother Jack Thomas and grandson James Gordon Seise. She is survived by her children Jean Oltvedt, Jan Casady (Roger), Kris Mynatt and Julie Seise (Michael); grandchildren Rachael, Sarah, Kris, Maren, Emma, Tucker and Thomas; great-grandchildren Jaden, Cole, Loretta, Barrett and Reed; sisters Jean, Colleen and brother Bill Lee. Her smile, sense of humor and graciousness will be missed by all those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Northcare Hospice. Visitation wil be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 17 at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home in Liberty, MO. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday October 18th at the funeral home with burial immediately following at New Hope Cemetery.
