Nora S. (Crockett) Estabrook

Nora S. Estabrook, 93, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away September 13, 2023 at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, September 19th at New Hope Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri.

Nora was born to Ernest and Sylvia Crockett in El Paso, Texas on August 3, 1930. She was one of four children and the only girl. Her parents had gone to Texas for work during the Depression, but moved back to Brewer, Maine when Nora was six. She grew up in Maine, played varsity basketball, and graduated from Brewer High School on June 9, 1948. Nora and her high school sweetheart, Dean Estabrook, were united in marriage on September 24, 1949.

Their family lived in Florida; Liberty, MO; El Segundo, CA; Sanford, FL; before moving back to Liberty in December of 2002. Nora was a bookkeeper throughout her career, working for a variety of companies on payroll and other administrative duties. She loved basketball, mainly the Lakers and Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Nora was an avid reader and enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and sudoku.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, and her husband of 71 years, Dean Estabrook.

Nora is survived by her three children, Stephen Estabrook (Barbara), Michael Estabrook, and Barbie Skipper (Dan); eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
