Lori was born on March 23rd, 1962, in Smithville, MO to Leonard Eugene and Beverly June Vanderpool.
In the summer of 1980, on August 2nd, Lori married the love of her life, Joseph Lee Drummond, at First Christian Church in Braymer, MO. They recently just celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Lori will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Jessica Ann Drummond and son, Bradley Eugene Drummond, both of Kansas City, MO, as well as her beloved dog, Gabe. She also loved and adored her grandson, Jaxon Riley Drummond.
Lori is survived by two sisters, Paula Jo Stocklaufer of Kansas City, MO and Karen Stollings of Braymer, MO. Lori is also survived by her nieces and their children, whom she held very dear. She was proud to be Aunt Lori to all of them. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Beverly Vanderpool.
Lori most recently worked as an administrative assistant for North Kansas City Hospital in the Respiratory Department. Prior to this she worked with the Missouri Probation & Parole and Heartland Center for Behavioral Change. She dedicated her time to helping others and left a lasting positive influence on all those she encountered.
Lori hobbies included reading books, watching reality TV programs, and hosting family get togethers, but her favorite hobby was supporting and cheering on Jaxon at all his school endeavors, may it be a part in a play or musical, singing in a choir concert, or performing a solo. She travelled all over the State of Missouri to attend his performances, wearing her “My favorite actor calls me Grandma” t-shirt.
Lori will be deeply missed by all who knew her because of her caring and loving nature. Her kindness and smile could raise anyone’s spirits and will always be remembered by those close to her.
The celebration of Lori’s life will be held at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home in Liberty, MO on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 3:00pm. Visitation will be open prior to the service, from 1:00-3:00pm.
