Lisa Mae Strickland, 57, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away February 16, 2022. A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will be held from 4:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, MO 64068. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the KC Pet Project or the American Cancer Society.
She was born in Kansas City, MO to Bobby Colvert and Margaret Colvert (Brogoto). Lisa graduated from Englewood Christian. She worked as an administrative assistant at FCI Advisors for many years. Lisa married the love of her life, Donald Strickland on September 7, 1985. They have lived in the Kansas City area for their entire marriage and Lisa’s favorite place was her home. She loved animals and especially adored their Westie, Brooklyn. Lisa loved reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved cheering on the Royals and attending games with Donald whenever they could.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 37 years, Donald Strickland and their son Shawn Strickland (Kristina); three grandkids, Lorelai, Theo and Kennedy Strickland; her parents, Bobby and Margaret Colvert; her mother-in-law, Minnie Strickland; two sisters, Deanna Thompson (Tim), and Kimberly Nunn; her nieces and nephews, Ryan Thompson (Caitlin), Jeremy Thompson (Gabbi), Bobby Colvert, and Amber King; as well as many other relatives and friends.
