Linda was born September 13, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to Earnest Ray Banks and Marjorie Fern Dixon-Banks. She graduated from Liberty High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Wright Business School in accounting and business. Linda worked for BCD Travel for many years, and retired a few years ago. She enjoyed going to McDonald’s, people-watching, spending time in the park, bird-watching, and playing jokes. She had such a warm and generous heart, and a wonderful sense of humor. Linda was “Nanny” to any child she met and loved everyone – she was the most loving soul anyone would ever meet and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, even if she didn’t have a dollar to spare.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Banks and Marjorie Fern Dixon-Banks; and her eldest niece.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Michelle Penn, and Nickie Bronson (Penn); her grandchildren, Phelicia Gonzalez (Nathan), Brett Penn, Nate Lamar, Nick Lamar, and Marjorie “Maggie” Penn; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Gonzalez, Jr., and Michael Gonzalez, Jackson Gonzalez (on the way), Jacob Penn, and Scarlett Penn; her brothers, Michael Banks (Sara Jill), and Robert Banks (Chris); as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. She loved all of her family with all of her heart.
