Jason Alan Gibbs, 36, of Liberty, MO passed away on January 26, 2024. A Celebration of Life in his memory will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 East Franklin Street, Liberty, MO 64068.
Jason was born on August 7, 1987 in North Kansas City, MO to Rich and Terry (Dagley) Gibbs. He grew up in Liberty and as a child participated in Little League baseball and basketball. He graduated from Liberty High School in 2006, and continued to be active in sports, joining the Grizzlys adult softball team. Jason loved playing and watching sports of all kinds, but his favorite teams were MU, the Chiefs, and the Royals. He also loved clothes and had a large collection of sports jerseys and hoodies from teams all over the United States.
Jason liked to spend time at the lake, and though he didn’t have any pets of his own, he’d never pass up the opportunity to pet or play with his friends’ pets, especially their dogs, which were by far his favorite.
Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Bette Gibbs; and his maternal grandmother, Barbara Dagley.
Jason is survived, and deeply missed, by his parents, Rich and Terry; his brother, Justin Gibbs; his long-time partner, Laura McBee; his maternal grandfather, Keith Dagley; and his large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
Jason, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.
