Bessie Margaret Freeman, 86, of Maysville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 at Sunset Manor, in Maysville, MO. Bessie was born October 14, 1932 to Hugh and Mary (Dabler) Roach in Maysville, MO. She graduated from Maysville High School in 1949. After graduation while working in Topeka, she met Raymond Kreush and on July 3rd, 1954 the couple married. She moved to New Jersey until Raymond could finish his time in the Air Force. The couple then moved back to Overland Park, KS. Bess worked for GM and later retired from there. After Raymond passed away, she remarried Powell Freeman on April 16th, 1988. She loved spending time at home until she became disabled and moved into Sunset Nursing Home, in Maysville, MO, where she has lived for the last eight years.
Bess is preceded in death by both husband and her parents. She is also preceded by her brother John Roach.
She is survived by her brothers; Raymond Dabler of Citrus Hills, CA, James Roach of Cameron, MO, and Jerome (Sue) Roach, of Liberty, MO., two sisters; Mary Alberta “Bertie” Meek of Maysville, MO and Francis Meek of Osborn, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at 12PM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Maysville, MO. With Funeral Mass immediately following at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery, in Maysville, MO. In lieu of flowers family request contributions go to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW.
