Nathan D. Lafuze

Nathan D. Lafuze, 48, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, September 16, 2023. Nathan was born May 15, 1975, in Oxford, Ohio to J. Toby Lafuze and Linda Robinson. He was a 1994 graduate of Richmond High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 from Purdue University. Nathan worked for Miles Richmond for over 20 years, while pastoring two churches. He was the Pastor for Middleboro United Methodist Church and the Spartansburg United Methodist Church. Nathan was a good neighbor, friend and man of God. Nathan was always working on something with his hands. He liked camping and hiking with family. Nathan enjoyed antique tractor pulling and garden tractor pulling. He also collected toy tractors. Nathan is survived by his wife of 24 years, Becky Amstutz Lafuze; son, Ryan; mother, Linda Robinson of Richmond; father, J. Toby Lafuze (Freda) of Richmond; step-brothers, Jacob Henry of West Lafayette, Indiana and Josh Henry of Madison, Wisconsin; many more family and friends. Memorial contributions may be given to the Middleboro United Methodist Church, Spartansburg United Methodist Church, Boston United Methodist Church and Seton Catholic Schools. Funeral service for Nathan D. Lafuze will be held at 10 am, Friday, September 22, 2023 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel with Pastors Jay and Charlotte Barden officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2023, 4 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Brownsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
