Nancy was born June 13, 1945 in Greenville Ohio, the third child of Paul Basil and Margaret Louise Maddock Brown. She grew up on a farm in rural Darke County, Ohio where she loved helping her parents with the farm chores. Nancy graduated in 1963 from Franklin Monroe High School, Pittsburg, Ohio, where she played clarinet in the school band. She was a member of Gordon United Methodist Church as a child and Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, Liberty, her whole adult life.
Nancy took a job in Richmond Indiana where she met William Scott Chambers. She and Bill married on February 20, 1965. They made their home in rural Union County where they farmed for a living. Nancy loved working on the farm and raising her flowers. She was a devoted daughter-in-law to Ollie and Cecelia Chambers, always helping on the farm and taking care of Cecelia in her home until her death. Nancy worked at Oxford Wal Mart until her passing.
Nancy was happiest outside working in her flowers. Her love of flowers never wavered, even as her health declined. She was a very nurturing lady, both of plants and people. There was always room for more at her table and she welcomed the chance to have her family and friends over for a meal. She loved her home and her family with all her heart. She loved having her grandchildren at her house and attending many of their activities throughout the years.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her father, Paul Brown in 1964; her husband, Bill in 2010; and her brother in law, Mike Chambers in 2013.
Nancy is survived by her mother: Margaret Brown Cullers of Greenville, Ohio; her children and their spouses: Mark Chambers and Lori of Liberty; Marsha Eldridge and Kenny of Connersville; her grandchildren: Raychael Chambers and her fiancé Nathan Cantrell, Kayla and Kyle Chamness, Mallory Chambers, Luke and Lacey Chambers, all of Liberty; her siblings and their spouses: Janet Rhoades and Don of Bradford, Ohio; Gary Brown and Jane; Jeff Brown and Cindy, all of Arcanum, Ohio; son-in-law: Clarence Chamness of Liberty; sister-in-law: Martha Frautschi and her husband, Dave of New Richmond, Ohio; her loving nieces, nephews and other extended family, including her special friend Karen Wates of Oxford, Ohio.
Nancy loved her Wal-Mart family like her own. Going to work helped sustain her and her co-workers were wonderful to her throughout her battle with kidney disease. Their love and support were priceless to her.
