Obituary of Barbara L. Miller
Barbara L. Miller, 69, of Liberty, died Monday evening, May 14, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, September 3, 1942, to Leo Anthony and Frances Louise Anderson Duenne. Barbara was a 1960 graduate of Harrison High School, Harrison, Ohio and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty. She had helped manage the American Legion in Brookville and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Brookville and the American Legion Auxiliary in Liberty. Barbara loved her pool and enjoyed mowing the grass and tending her flowers. She also liked to sew craft projects and travel in the motorhome. Barbara is survived by her husband: William R. Miller, whom she married February 15, 1992 in Maysville, Kentucky; five children and their spouses: Brenda Lee Ayala and Bernardo of Miami, Florida; John Clifford Stockhoff of Arizona; Donald Stockhoff; Dutch Stockhoff and Catherine, all of Brookville; Tonya Lynn Sirk and Dale of MacClenny, Florida; her mother: Frances Louise Duenne of Oldenburg; two step-children and their spouses: William E. Miller and Dana of Leitchfield, Illinois; Jill Kathleen Keller and Andy of Connersville; two siblings: Bonnie Lee Duenne of Oldenburg; Joseph Leo Duenne and Martha Jo of St Peters; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandsons, five step grandchildren, one step great-grandson, several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her father and her first husband, Cliff Stockhoff who died April 4, 1986. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, with Rev Dawn Gold of the First Presbyterian Church, Liberty, officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette Cancer Society.
