I was so sorry to hear of her passing, I was reminessing and  thinking of my childhood memories and Victoria came to mind as one of my favorite actresses and so sorry to hear the world lost a wonderful actress.

I would like everyone to know that Betty and I were very close we shared many stories and laughs around the kitchen table I enjoyed helping in her care I loved her very much I know your happy in heaven save a seat for me missing you so much 

I don't know where to begin Mamie.  I keep hoping someone will wake me up and this was all dream.  You were where I would spend my weekends and summers as a kid.  I loved spending my time and being with you as I grew up.  You brought religion into my life and showed me how great God is with how you cared for great granddaddy. I remember the day we lost him, he was the first person in my life I loved so much that I had to understand that he was gone and would move on to heaven.        Now here we are again full circle and you have gained your angel wings.  I love you Mamie and will miss you every day.

I remember so many times when I would stop to visit my mother your mother would be there visiting with that smile on her face as they both would sit for hours talking about god and praying for their family and just laughing about different things that friends do . She was a dear sweet friend to my mother and a sweet lady to all of us . 

Thinking of your family at this time of need 

As I struggle with the loss of my mom I never realized how hard it would be to watch the life leave that gave me life, but as I ponder the thought I realize that I’m blessed beyond belief by caring for my mom I was given the opportunity to understand how much a mother really means to a family, as she was everything to me, now I understand where my love for my family came from (My Mother) thanks mom I know you’re in heaven your love for God and family set a great example. I love you with all my heart and I miss you so very much, please give Daddy a hug and kiss for me, tell Zachary, Hannah and Star I love them with all my heart and I will see them all one day, hugs and kisses for now until we see each other again. She was the sweetest lady. You are going to be sorely missed.

I remember the story to this day of when I was born. Which was in Hawaii because dad was stationed there. When I was born I had the dark olive skin the black hair and curly hair the nurses used me as a demonstration  baby they said I looked Hawaiian. You're face would just light up when you would tell anyone this. Through out my life you loved me you guided me most of all you would pray for me. You've been a blessing such a light to anyone you ever met. I love you with all my heart, Mom.

Betty cannon aka mammie was my mother in law she lived with us for an extended period during her ups and downs with health problems her faith never wavered her love for god and family and anyone who came into her life  was true and strong my time with her was a blessing her strong faith in god helped me realize how blessed l was to have her in my life . She had a way to humble me lm happy and at peace with her flying with the angels our last three words to each other were l love you  will miss you the rest of my days it was an honor to care you  look forward to give you big hug when I see you again until then don’t worry I will take good care of your daughter, fly high mammie  miss you so much

There’s so many memories to remember. You were a woman of God. Oh how you loved your kids grandkids and great grandkids. As the family grew and kept getting bigger you would get more and more excited each time. You taught me to always put God first. And make all my words sweet always. I’m so proud to have been named after you. I know you’re looking down on us now with such a big smile on your face. You’ve been such a blessing in my life. Love you always my Mamie.
